Welsh language scheme policy

We'd like to invite the public to take part in a consultation on our brand new Welsh Language Scheme. The consultation will last for four weeks ending on 09/08/2011.

In order to respect of the language choices of our service users, BAAF has adopted the principle that in the conduct of public business in Wales, it will treat the English and Welsh languages on a basis of equality. The scheme sets out how we will give effect to that principle when providing services to the public.

The voluntary scheme has been prepared in accordance with the Welsh Language Board's Guidelines under the Welsh Language Act 1993, and it is hoped it will be formally approved by the Welsh Language Board following the consultation process.

Hoffem wahodd y cyhoedd i gymryd rhan mewn ymgynghoriad ar ein Cynllun Iaith Gymraeg newydd sbon. Bydd yr ymgynghoriad yn para 4 wythnos, gan orffen ar 09/08/2011.

Er mwyn bod dewis iaith ein defnyddwyr yn cael ei barchu, mae BAAF wedi mabwysiadu'r egwyddor o drin y Saesneg a'r Gymraeg ar sail ei bod yn gyfartal wrth gynnal busnes cyhoeddus yng Nghymru. Drwy'r cynllun yma dengys sut byddwn yn gweithredu’r egwyddor honno wrth ddarparu gwasanaeth i'r cyhoedd.

Paratowyd y cynllun gwirfoddol yma trwy ddilyn Canllawiau Bwrdd yr Iaith Gymraeg yn ôl Deddf yr Iaith Gymraeg 1993. Yn dilyn yr ymgynghoriad gobeithiwn dderbyn cymeradwyaeth gan Fwrdd yr Iaith Gymraeg.
