Organisational membership

Join our 500 corporate members

More than 500 organisations in the UK and abroad value their membership of BAAF. They include all relevant local authorities, 185 voluntary adoption agencies and independent fostering agencies, 31 NHS Trusts, 13 law firms, 26 agencies outside the UK, and more statutory and voluntary organisations.

We can help your agency too to develop and deliver high quality services. We can advise you when difficult decisions have to be made. We can help your staff and advisers hone their skills and develop new ones. And we can keep you up to date in a rapidly changing environment.

Membership will enable you to play a role in UK-wide networks and contribute to the development of new policies and standards.

There are two types of membership for organisations that you can apply for: Full Membership and Associate Membership .

Full organisational membership

We would welcome your application to join our 399 full organisational members in the UK, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Ireland if your agency is a:

  • Fostering agency
  • Voluntary adoption agency
  • Local authority children's services/social work department

Associate membership

Is your organisation concerned with children and families? Does it support BAAF’s charitable objectives? Is it a:

Law firm | NHS Trust | adoption, fostering or family support agency | training /service support provider | child care charity | foster carers’ or adopters’ association | government department/statutory agency | voluntary agency | university department or research project | outside the UK?

If so it is probably eligible for associate membership. Find out more
