Skydives can be done any weekend at any one of 25 British Parachute Association approved sites around the country. Tandem skydives mean you are harnessed to a professional parachute instructor throughout the event. Freefalling through the air for several thousand feet before the parachute is deployed is an experience not to be missed!
What to do next
- No experience is necessary as all training is given on the day
- Raise a minimum of £395 in sponsorship, which covers the cost of the skydive and a donation to BAAF

"When I told my friends and family that I was going to do a skydive to raise funds for charity, they never thought I’d actually go through with it – and they weren’t the only ones! I’d never fundraised before and I’d definitely never done anything as nerve wracking as jumping out of a plane albeit with a parachute and skydive professional strapped to my back.
The fundraising was easier than I thought and the excitement and exhilaration of doing the skydive itself truly made up for the sleepless night ahead of the jump. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done so if you’re inspired to do it – do it for BAAF!"
